Our story
Tradition, refined by time.

Since 1972
A house built on discipline.
Legacy Barbers began with a single chair, a worn leather strop, and a gentleman called Sir William Holt — who insisted, even then, that a haircut was never something to be hurried.
Half a century later, William still works two days a week. The chair is still there. So is the strop. What's changed is the company kept by them: three masters, a marble counter, a small library of single malts, and a quiet room in Mayfair that has hosted three generations of Londoners.
We believe in fewer appointments, longer ones. In conversation over chatter. In doing one thing properly rather than many things passably.
The Code
Five tenets, no shortcuts.
I.
Patience
Never less than 30 minutes. Often longer.
II.
Precision
Hand-stropped blades. Always.
III.
Privacy
Discreet, by appointment.
IV.
Provenance
British tools, British training.
V.
Pride
We sign our work, quietly.
The Craft
The tools of the trade.
We use Sheffield-forged steel, Japanese scissors balanced to the gram, and a brass-fitted Koken chair from 1924 that survived two wars and three renovations. Nothing is plastic. Nothing is rushed.
